im making the switch from 3ds to modo 501 (student license ran out :poly117:)

i picked this up in a couple of hours, most of which was questioning why action centres existed. some bits remind me of maya !

anyway i tried the input thing and tried mapping 'poly.inset' to a key . thats the command thats called but it no work =[.is it context sensitive or am i missing something.

any commands for the basic modelling tools? (weld, inset, slide, addloop).

i hate having that noob feeling again .

Any tool or setting you run, you can see the command that's called internally if you drag open the little textbox in the lower right, to open up the command history.

The command should be in there...

Welcome to the dark side :)

Here's a thread that might help you.

And a video on action centers.

About the hotkeys, make sure in the Input Editor that Context is set to (contextless) or Component Mode. I think Inset might be tool.set poly.inset on

    EDIT:

Here's another post from a while back that might be of interest to you.

whoops haha. cheers fellaz. let the modo'in begin.

    edit:
can i confirm that since Drag weld has 3 things going on, i have to record a macro script then assign that to a key? because mapping -
tool.set DragWeld on snap:true , does activate. but it doesnt allow the weldings..

wud this be the begging of creating funky scripts for specific tools o.o

    edit:
    solved. ma bad. ma bad.
