Here's a curiosity! How do you guys feel about changing models and designs after posting? For example, already two people mentioned changing the tail for my SD set and I'm wondering if that's often worth doing? I'm happy to but last time I tried to change the model for something it seemed like it did nothing for response. Each time is different certainly but I'm just curious on your thoughts. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=245904357
u have to answer this to urself every time this happens. did someone find something u did not not see and is it worth changing it? is it a real improvement?
u will never make everyone happy - just try to make urself happy
@danjohncox Yeah its hard decide. As Shock said you cant make everyone happy. I usually dont make any changes after uploading. Fast decisions are bad decisions in my opinion. Rather I am more kin to wait some time, listen to feedback from all over the places and try to make a redesign of the set if time allow me to. Or as kite212 said you can add different style to your tail. That is also something really popular lately
@Onilolz Mechanical parts are worst to make really low lowpoly All those cylinders can eat your triangles really fast 0_o. Great job in showing those LODs whos the boss
I can't believe I managed to put this helmet under 800 tris:
Textures still WIP
A little tip on how to optimize the eye a bit.
You should connect the edges like the example below instead of collapsing the edges to one point. It will make it easier on the engine to read lighting information as well as reduce the number of tris.
Example.
8 sided circle would have 8 tris if you just collapsed the edge.
If you connect every edge together (like in the example), then you would end up with 6.
Oh man, painting stlye and overall effect of loading screen is GORGEOUS, but I can't help but notice that waist is too tiny compared to her body overall. :C
Also, I tried uploading poster for TI4 however I screwed up dimensions of the artwork and had to stop uploading on force, now Steam won't let me upload anything at all. Anyone had problem with this?
@MugenMcFugen This uploader is really missleading. First I read that art need to be 15"x19" 300dpi, however I am sure that apply only to t-shirts. So for Poster I have made this 300dpi, 15" height and 16:9 aspect ration. Final PSD was more than 100MB 0_o. It showed on workshop after ~20 minutes... Thats a bit crazy

Bigger resolution and size, bigger file size too . I guess it might be that file is still uploading and it wont let me re-upload because it's doing it somewhere behind. I guess I should wait a bit and see.
That 15"x19" part fucked me too, I did shirt beforehand and thought that I can resize poster on those dimensions too, then I saw poster uses kind of different sizes. Thus why I had to halt uploading. xD
I'm starting to think the importer might be broken specifically on DMX files.
Rather than getting an error that I can actually get feedback from it just crashes dota to the desktop.
I'll shoot off an email to someone and ask about it.
done doing FV set that i finalize for someone, now need head to do Shirt design with my old work... i wonder is it good idea redo this with this old work i did?? :poly124:
@Vlad Sweet but I don't get your hip line...
Anyway done this really fast, seems rather close Maybe perspective point is a little higher and more to the left but yeah, done this really fast.
except that your hip is really thin, I think its ok. i think the alignments are alright. what is a little of,f is the neck to rest of body position, a bit far back in my opinion
Evening polycounters
I've just finished a gyro set and got it up on the workshop. I'm currently sat in a hotel room in the middlem of nowhere so I don't have much I can upload, no doubt i'll keep popping bits up over the next couple of days

sometimes that is necessary but try to get a lot of feedback before submitting, maybe waiting couple days after finish and looking it with a fresh eye. Doing that with my lone druid set right now, giving some time to see if i will still like it couple days after =]

I think the set is well made, but the wings being bulky barrels integrated into the guns is not doing it for me, I personally fell Gyro wings work best when they match the lightness of the stock ones, unless you do custom animations....

we did some colour variations and found that red gave it too much of an ironman motif
I think the plate in the middle should be red, but unlike the concept the top should remain gold. That'll break up the iron man theme and it'll also make that plate pop more.
To me the dark line on the bottom of the plate doesn't match well, and it may have been done to make that plate stand out more, which red would do
WOW awesome artwork Konras, your girlfriend is really good!
I don't think the hip is any problem, although it looks very slim if you look at her face and the shoulders. This would defenelty be a loading screen I'm willing to buy!

those barrel wing looks unique
myb put some red/yellow color instead using white/grey ? can make it better
@Kite212: Looking great, and I know its kinda late for any changes, but that snake head really bothers me. Maybe it's because I'm used to see skulls/heads turned to the side of the body, pointing to the opposite direction. But maybe I'm getting crazy! Cannot wait to see this finished
@AndrewHelenek: Dude, this is looking great! If you allow me to suggest something, the end of the animation cycle, when his arms goes down, his shoulder doesn't move at all, so it looks like kinda robotic. Rather than that, I really love how you animate his torso and breathing, seems to be very alive Good job, I'm looking forward to this!

It will never be too late, the head is completely separate, and I even played with the head turned to the side, once everything is baked I will be able to better decide the heads orientation, and maybe spawn a few styles for it.
I think it looks a bit random/plain and if it wasn't for the title I wouldn't have guessed it had something to do with a prison. You might want to:
- add hand-drawn details, something that doesn't look like you just used a GIMP brush to draw some lines and applied a glow behind them
-rethink the concept or the colour choice: gold is probably the colour that fits a prison theme the least
Lots of love going on for Clockwerk and it all looks great!
Been gradually working on something for Tinker. Just finishing up the base mesh then moving onto adding some surface detail. Will also be re-working older submissions March of the Prototypes and TinkWard to include with the set.
This is officially up, after dabbling in flexes a bit more and trying to understand the whole process I think I could easily make flexed items for just about anyone now.
Thanks! it was abit odd, by default clock has all these flexes for jaw side to side, forward and back, and all the eye flexes but he only ever seems to actually use Jaw open, so it kind of feels less impressive than I'd like it to be, but then again Jaw open is all he really needs.
So I'm just perusing the International Workshop stuff and I'm seeing an awful lot of stolen artwork. I'm seeing the Red Moon Spirit sets being used in a full roster poster along with Anuxi's Dazzle and Oni/Zaphz's Ogre Magi. And obviously they're not listed as contributors. I'll be reporting it, I just want to let everyone know to keep an eye out for this stuff as it seems to be popping up a lot.

i got one of my non-serious-work also stolen but it was took down after i straight leave comment there. apparently i saw the steam friend list got helenek there.
the removed stolen work is this
Even Tobi also posted the one cropped my name version in his facebook (LINK HERE) that time. (blame the one who cropped my name, that original work was made for Hex0r's page admin since he request draw something with pudge... LINK HERE)
anther thing is, those artists like Konras / Redmoon sempai/ Anuxi-sama/ Lennister oneesan are famous enough for spotting their work (partly because their artwork are the workshop so more easier to spot)
but for who are famous in Tumblr and rarely to post in Reddit, not workshop related then it is very hard to spot like Fwosh or 99Hunter(or Spidercandy in dA), Mugen (using Gamagoori avatar here),Fudgie , too...(or those artwork created from scratch, not workshop item related)

Source crashes when I try to compile my dmx
I might need to reorder the flexes/check for typos
As always concept, promo and textures made by Madzia

As awesome as it is, I think throwing some red in there somewhere would really push it further. Coming along great!
here are just two of them
Hex and I settled on no red since clocks default also included no red.
just what we thought looked best in the end
Don't see a problem with that, but I'm biased when it comes to Ironman :poly136:
 With the focal point not being the hips/ waist I think its ok
I think the set is well made, but the wings being bulky barrels integrated into the guns is not doing it for me, I personally fell Gyro wings work best when they match the lightness of the stock ones, unless you do custom animations....
Interesting look, I like it so far, maybe a tad thin in the middle
Puck is a pretty lady
This Void set is pretty fantastic

High poly is done and decimated, need to finish the staff still, then low poly, and all that fun stuff that follows
