-The economy to pick up again, as well as the game industry. Tired of seeing my fellow game industry folks lose their jobs, tired of family members with jobs that were once booming now scraping by because their business has dried up, time for the upswing economy!
-a nice feast with the family, love me some Christmas ham, au gratin potatoes and pie!
-that 2010 will be an even better year than this one, 2009 treated me well so lets see if we can top it!
"In this world there are only two tragedies. One is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it. The last is much the worse; the last is a real tragedy!"
I used to only brush 3 times a day as "suggested". I've only been brushing more, the past 3yrs or so. Since the enamel is wearing away, my teeth accumulate plaque and gunk quicker so they feel grungy faster than normal, hence more brushing (though the extra 2 brushings are rather fast and soft, just to quickly clean the surface).
I've done everything my dentists have suggested, but nothing has ever helped. I've used near-pure flouride gel in mouth guards as I slept, tri-yearly cleanings, sonicare brushes, special toothpastes - you name it. Nothing has ever helped.
Sometimes you just can't beat your genes, hah. My great grandmother lost all her teeth before she was 30, my mother lost most of her teeth before she was 40, my eldest brother lost 12 teeth before turning 35 and I've lost 9 teeth (including wisdom) and I'm only 29. Guess I need to start saving up for those permanent bolt-in teeth ^_^ At the very least, I need to start looking into those lumineer caps for the good teeth I've got left
Genes, for better and for worse, I have some of those issues, but not nearly as bad as that, some of my teeth are quite cratered from my youth, because of soft enamel, but still healthy according to dentists, but I'm guessing you use a soft brush, and avoiding those toothpastes with sandpaper qualities :P, usually the worst factor is the stress, which just makes your stomachfluids wash over your teeth and corrode them.
it's too bad teeth are not seen as a part of your body when it comes to healthcare at doctors.
Original copy of 'The book of Alien' 79. Only recently found out the 2004 version was a reprint. I bought it solely for the typography on the cover. :khasmo:
Leon (the professional) US blu-ray.
Totoro Forest Project book reprint (but it's been delayed so won't arrive till after January).
Yet to buy for myself:
MP3 player. Most likely a Sansa+ 8 gig.
Finding it hard to justify another 100£ getting an itouch instead as the only game I want to at least try is Drop7.
It's depressing how many people said job because that's exactly the first thing that came to mind. Best of luck to everyone on that front this holiday and in the new year. Hope every list gets fulfilled.
Money, so I can buy a new mouse... and maybe start saving up for a desk so I can stop sitting in a broken couch. It's killing my back. But, mouse first! I can work with a broken back, I can't work without a functioning mouse!

I'm with Asherr this year. I can't think anything I'd really like for this year which makes me proud lol
well, perhaps if my university allowed me to stay 6 more months on Poland... except that I just hope my people save their money and don't buy me garbage.
Half a dozen audio books.
Time.
Gift Cards.
Misc computer pieces.
World peas.
I'm actually way more excited to see my daughter explode.
She's two and last year was a little too young to really get the whole idea. Now she explodes when I plug in the tree. "HEY LOOK CRISMANS! HEY DADDY LOOK! ITS CRISMANS!" and then she tells perfect strangers "I have crismans at my house".
I'll also be thankful that she'll have her own leapster hand held and could possibly leave my DS/PSP/ipod alone and or with a charge...

Whaa? You evil bastard Vig!! No but seriously, her mouth will start to explode by the time she's 12/13. Till then you will have some nice cuddling moments
I've always wanted to get into guitar so I'll start with this. Wait...
Nah, but this is probably the only thing I am getting this year, but it's worth it. My DW7000 broke a few months ago. Anyone else play drums? If so, any death metal drummers?

Yeah.. I had to sell my old vintage set .. to pick up an electric drumset so that i don't get evicted from my apartment.
How long've you been playing for?
I've been beating on them for 13yrs
Sorry for the bump, but I want to try to find a head set for gaming (mostly tf2) that has a decent enough mic I could use it for adding voice to a tutorial or quick and dirty sounds for mods.
a job in the games industry would make my christmas
a cintiq would be great but its not going to happen
i'll probably end up upgrading my pc, i'm hesistant on getting a 64 bit OS - does 32 bit software work well on 64 bit? if it does then probably windows 7, 4 new gigs of ram and a new gfx card.
and maybe a new guitar amp, was thinking of a VOX30 or a Roland Cube from ebay.
Haha reading this thread has just made me think im gonna need alot of luck for xmas to try and get my foot in the door.....so far getting a portfolio together for uni

I've been running 64 bit for the first time lately, it works like a charm. (Win7)
I don't really know what I want. I am not there yet to wish for a job, and there's no good out there that would suddenly make me happy.
The only thing I am half-wanting is a entry level DSLR, but every time I think about I come to the conclusion that a DSLR won't make my photos any better and it would just be a waste of money.

That was a very cynical nothing, not a "look at me, aren't I good little boy" nothing.
