created Barbarian Female for Diablo III
on 05-12-2012 07:09 AM
Hi guys!
I made fan art of Diablo 3 and I would like to share this with you
you can find it here Diablo contest
I'm not asking you to vote, just let you know i'm participating
a little bit about pipeline:
I made quick scketch over base model
I didn't make a detailed high-res model (because i suppose to used it for 3D blockout)
but I decided to used this model for normalmap too
I also used normal, specular and emissive maps, but it is not interesting
I had no limits and I spent 50 000 triangles
I hope you will enjoy it!

wow, too much gold for my taste but overall execution is fucking impressive
only thing that caught my attention is the fact that armor and swords are completely undamaged, they look brand new. chick also could use more scars, being a warrior and all...

It's just.. Ghaad.
Everything stated by me is my personal opinion and it is not in any way related to Avalanche, if not stated so.

You never disappoint.
Are the winners based on "likes" in this comp? Your work is objectively better than 5 of the 8 pieces that have higher ranks. Hell the number 2 position, 3000 likes ahead if the next contender, is only a partly finished sketch.

This character is so fucking gorgeous!
Can you explain your process for the alphas in the right bottom of your texture?
Any way, thank you for sharing it!

Amazing work!
What i don't get is, you say you used normals and spec on her, but painted in all your spec and lighting info into your diffuse?

Awesome work as usual! Love it.
I really hope the judging on that competition isn't based on the "likes" some of the top "liked" ones are really poor.

she could probably use a little more wear 'n tear, right now she's super clean like it's her first day on the job. That aside, Holy-Fuck-Nuts this is a nice model
what's your texture rez?
