I thought it was funny. Specially after Stark asks if Nick Fury has to turn every time to see both screens and claims it to be exhausting. haha I think those kind of jokes are what made the movie transitions a lot of fun.

not really, because: Stark comments that there's a guy playing a game, who thought nobody would notice, but that he did.

Eh.. no. I just thought it was funny. Plus it humanizes those shield agents somewhat, makes them seem more like characters instead of just mindless robots looking at computers that are just there to fill up background space.
Also it was Galaga.

I probably could have done without seeing a cut screen to him, but didn't bother me much. I would have preferred if it was visible as Stark walked up, and then saw him hide the game.

I thought it was really funny; cause a guy who is supposed to be keeping the ship in the air is actually playing Space Invaders.

I thought it was funny, because you don't know if stark is serious or just amking a joke when he says it. So when you see the guy after it's like a tiny reveal :3

Meh, think I'll just stick to 2D in the future. Better (for me) and cheaper!

I agree, the 3d was good in all the CGI bits (obv.) and ok in most of the 'sets' but all of the outdoor scenes where a mess. I spent the first act of the film blinking until they transitioned to the SHIELD sets later.
After the film I tore up my friends and my 3d glasses and swapped the lenses around. Next 3d release: I have 2d glasses B)

where were the avengers actually going in the helicarrier btw? I was a bit confused why they needed it other than 'it's a cool location'

I just thought that was their new/current/temporary base, since the other one blew up.

hm, so why not just leave it in the ocean? and why did they bother to make it invisible only for it to be fully visible when loki came to find them?
sorry, can't help picking at it I enjoyed the movie a lot. Just puzzled by some bits..

I actually wondered the same. Why bother flying it up, other than it added drama later. The only reason it became visible later, I think, was when the this was damaged, or to allow that plane to land.
And I agree with the assessment in that article. I thought it was odd, how easily Loki gave in to returning to asgard. And the grin on Thanos, does kind of support what he was saying. He didn't seem upset, but rather glad that they were defeated.

"would be to court death" would have a lot to do with his grin, too.
bearing in mind his infatuation...

Cool article.
The alliance with chitauri seemed forced. If they won on earth they prolly would help to take over Asgard. They lost, bad alliance gone and Loki's back in Asgard. Win-win.

The whole plan wasn't for Loki to take over earth but for Loki to prove that earth was a great place to battle, and a worthy opponent for Thanos. Earth being a cosmic battle ground is a huge win for Loki because it will distress his half brother to no end, keeping him off his game. Very well played!
