created moar league of legends fanart! (fiddlesticks)
on 04-23-2012 10:41 AM
I've been wanting to do a LoL character for a bit; first Jax, then Nautilus, and now I've settled on fiddlesticks because I've been playing him the most...
I'm gonna try to stream the whole process also.
here's my base so far, and as of posting this the stream will be up in a few minutes!

Also, the fiddle in your stream looks like an Alien.

Noice. Subbed. I'm assuming the hard edge on the bottom of the skirt is where you're gonna alpha? Or just make geo cuts?
|
|
sculpt looks great.
I really like the technique you use for your alphas with just inflating from the plane, tried it with teeth yesterday and it bakes so nice.

yeah poopinmymouth beat me to this, but I wanted to ask how you where going about this, Im assuming that your making your cloth to get those edges for your LP and then the rest you will do in post clean up so your normal map has a nice edge fall off of the depth/cloth edgings?
ps.- Seriously all this LOL art lately and no one is giving any love to volibear or rumble !

thanks dudes! yep I alphad the cloth. I've kind of been dragging my ass on this, mostly because Tera has been playable
I've still got some fixing and color variation to do but this is where i'm at so far.
and a bit about the progress -
base bakes, gradient maps, lighting painting, details.

This is lookin' sweet dude! The darker half of the blade feels maybe just a little too dark in comparison with the rest of the character, but great stuff man
