created Spawn - The Dark Ages
on 04-04-2012 10:42 AM
Working on a Spawn model, trying to get a medieval/barbarian/viking feel for him. Here is some progress.
C&C are more than welcome.

Head seems too small. Are you following any partical concept?

not really following a concept per say making it up mostly as I go, but yeah I can see the head looking small compared to the body, will make some fixes to it.
Thanks for the comment

Waist looking small too. Have you blocked out everything or piece at a time?

The body is blocked as a whole piece if that's what you're asking, thanks for the input.

When I think of spawn I usually picture somthing more like this, like he's mysterious. I played spawn on the snes cool character. I know your trying to make him barbarian, and its hard to make one of them mysterious, keep going!

Sweet work man keep it up! Maybe more of an angry, axe hewn face and body? Also the symbiotic armor is a character in itself so maybe play that up a bit.
looking forward to more.

There have been a bunch of Viking and Dark Ages Spawn action figures released by McFarlane Toys
http://spawn.com/toys/categorytype.aspx?categoryid=4
You can even get Quicktime VR rotations of the models which'd be great for reference.
