Great job all round on your piece. Only crit from me is that I prefer the original concept's colour scheme with the orange rather than the red.

My concern for you is that the slime doesnt feel strong in any way. How is it supporting that axe blade? Maybe if you worked some hints of bone into the mass to indicate it's covering something underneath?

At the moment, the wraps on the handle aren't reading very well. Try to define them a bit more, as they are looking a tad muddy/smudged
