created The Skin and Wrinkle Brushes have Arrived!
on 03-22-2012 12:46 PM
Here is the first set of skin and wrinkle brushes. Please give me as much feedback as possible! I have many more to make, but I would like a little beta before I make them. Don't expect these to be setup exactly how you want them. Feel free to customize them for yourself. I didn't even try to adjust many settings for them since there are so many ways to sculpt skin and pores etc.
And once again... ENJOY!

haha the make art brush is on the way!
I will be adding to the stroke brushes soon. I have been tinkering with gravity quite a bit. So those are on the list.

Nice, I love speckle based brush for skin, much kudos mate.
There's a very good chance that I experienced MORE problems, then all the internet put together in the area of 3D. Talk about being original for once...

Nice tech circles, I'm obligated to believe you used inspiration from Pendulum's "In Silico" lol
Thanks a ton btw, I've made great use of your carve brush.
I also mixed it with your crevice brush to get the smooth stroke of the carve and sharpness of the crevice brush.

Most of the tech circles were inspiration from crop circles.
Btw if you send me any brush you've made combining brushes etc. I'll upload them, giving you full credit of course. I was actually going to suggest this earlier. I was going to make a contributor brush section on my site named after the creator so if anyone is interested.
Also since I had such a huge response on more stroke brushes. I have about 20orso that I am trying to finish up now.

I have now added rar packages for each set on the site for easier downloads.
It might be a while before I make any more brushes. I am trying to finish some work I began long ago. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showp...postcount=3662. But I will continue working on the screws and bolts brushes. I am modeling each head and baking a heightmap for each brush. So it takes time In the meantime enjoy the brushes!

Already said thanks once, but I see you've been busy since then! ;) Cheers, mate. Can't wait to give these skin brushes a try. Loved the others so far.

Loved your first ones, then was kinda dissapointed with the techy ones which just seemed to be converted deviantArt photoshop brushes, then you go and knock it out of the park again with these last sets. These are a great resource for the community, thanks for taking the time to put them together!

I apologize I made a mistake when packaging the tech and skin brushes. I addded the icons instead of the brush files. This has been fixed. So if you downloaded either one of those rars download again. Once again sorrys!

I was trying out the skin brushes last night and I had a question.
They seem to add alot of form in addition to adding light surface detail. is this supposed to be how they work?
I've been messing around with placing the neutral zone in the right area, will report back when I have it working right for me

I did not mess with the settings too much when I made them simply bc there are so many techniques for creating skin. I will check the settings I saved them at. They should be subtractive at the minimal and the z depth turned really far down for subtle detail. I'll check them tonight and maybe post some updated ones that'll work better right out of the box.
