Hey guys and gals! This is my first comp here at polycount, Pretty excited for the subject matter.

My design went through many revisions and I think I finally settled on one.

Love where its going so far bro! I love the axe's shape. Its like the love child of a chopper and scythe.

I think like Burak said, you should add more to the silhouette. Since it looks like a Kingdom of the Dead weapon, I'd go with a few skulls or parts of them.

For instance, where the axe has bone holes in it, there could be jawbones overlapped on top of each other up the back. Also some metal reinforcements on the handle where the two bone segments come together would make it look stronger.

They didn't say the skulls had to be human, so check a few refs and make your own up

Loving the color composition and shape already, keep it up bro!!

I think that a bigger pommel could balance this design out a bit more. Keep in mind that we can't have dangling chains for this comp.

Thanx JMT! I was looking for a way to make this stand out as darksiders core more and a different pommel design could do just that! Also I canned the chain idea, thanks though!

Looking sweet so far boss! I like the updated pommel that you posted in Gamers thread. Also, I agree with Hernandez. The back needs to feel like something recognizable since its made of bone like a wing or bones bound together with wrapping.

What if you put faces/bodies on the blank space? i.e. a diptych or pediment engraving.

Great work so far man, can't wait to see the model!
