cool i really like the details but maybe try to give it a few more bevels in the silhouette
also try to make the arms and hands of the angels a bit more expressive

thanks man! here's some variations on the arms... still kinda lackluster, imo... but bevels are definitely a good idea. I think I'll hit those up in the 3d stage, tho.

Any C&C would be much appreciated, thanks!

Nice design and blockout. One thing I think could be improved is the spike at the top. It's not looking very angelic at the moment. Maybe incorporate some more of the angelic style here? In Bobo's stream he said this arch thing is a very common element for this style, maybe try something along those lines?

SgtNasty: I totally agree! I feel like my design was missing something, but I couldn't figure out what. That helps a lot.
Here's a mock-up of some cool designs I found on Google Images. I'm partial to the one on the right, but the left one is also pretty interesting. What do you guys think??
and a proxy shot to check scale/proportion. Also... I feel like the shaft on the proxy model provided isn't really long enough... but whatev's, I'll just stick to it anyways.

Redesign time! I went for chunkier details, and incorporated some "fleur de lis" and "corinthian order" details (you angel theme guys might want to google it for inspiration). Still not too worried about color at this point, but sometime soon... Either way, hope you guys like!

The small shield forces a sort of hunched appearance to the angel. Making it taller would give him a prouder and more imposing look. It is a great design overall though, can't wait to see more.

naruSol: thanks so much for the suggestion! I think my reworking here definitely feels a lot stronger.

I like it so far man. Keep up the god work. Is that guy getting a face? Oh and I would try to work in some curls to the column that he is standing on to echo the top.

Looking good man! My only crit is id exaggerate the wings more, like push it towards a more sylistic feel, which is a huge part of Darksiders

That looks great! It really fits in with the Darksider's Angelic style. Excited to see what it looks like after you beat the crap out of it.

thats coming together solid. Remember to keep your angles sharp though! The curves of your hammer could use some kinks.

Man this came out looking great! I may have a weakness for all things angelic, but I think you are a strong contender for the top three man. Good Luck!

thanks, tedark1! I am incredibly flattered by your kind words. I have high hopes, but my top 3 hammers go to JFletcher, ChaosEidolon, and BluPanda. I guess we'll see if I'm right or not
oh, and bonus turn-around:
