Hi I'm a final year game design student at Huddersfield University and I'm current doing my dissertation on "Core elements of level design".

I think you should have perhaps gone a bit further than simply limiting it to campaign and mp levels. There's more difference between genres than there is between sp/mp levels, and different genres treat that game fairly differently. There's going to be more overlay as genres blend a bit, but it's still huge.
