hey Polycount, here is a little something i have been working on in my spare time. I did 2 zbrush sculpts, so I can alternate the floor a bit.
below is a screen grab of the shader, and the diffuse, normal, and spec. Crits/comments welcome!

Nice texture!
I like how the specular pop out. And the color variation on the diffuse make it interesting to look at.

Cool, do you know what you want to do with it? Those two would look great with vertex blending.

Nice work.

Get Dropbox and link them from there, that way it won't resize your images. It's also free and really awesome and all of those types of words that make it sound good.

They look pretty awesome. However wouldn't it be a good idea to post the texture in use i.e tiled on the floor or wall so it will show off possibly tiling problems like obvious repetition?

Computron mentioned vertex blending which tbh I don't know what that is :P so I will look that up ;). So maybe that is a way you would get around obvious tiling if there was any .

But yeah very nice work.

Nice work, My only crit is the diffuse could use some more color variation/contrast. The normal and Spec look great imo.

Just a quick word on dropbox, a lot of game companies block dropbox to prevent accidental distribution/leaks etc.

Does that mean if i link a picture through dropbox, maybe some people might not be able to view my work?

the spec map was made in crazy bump. the normal map in zbrush. there is a bit of color variation in the diffuse but it is a little subtle. The spec is a little too intense but the when you put the shader together, you can adjust how much you want, so its good the have the spec (or normal) information there if you need more.
I will add a updated version showing vert blending soon - using dropbox for the image hosing, thanks!

Very nice, I like it, esp. the spec!

And use Imgur for image hosting! That's my favorite, it won't resize your images.
