FBIK error?

So I'm trying to rig this monkey character. I am an animation noob, when I set the FBIK it always reverses the knees of my character. I can't seem to find a solution on the web, so I thought I'd ask you pros here.

EDIT: Nevermind, I had set it up facing the back plane. Live and learn!
