Zbrush texture mapping

Hi all

i am trying to learn zbrush and i am having a real hard time trying to import a texture and map it onto my model

in zbrush i import it fine but all i can do is paint it and i want to just map my model with it...

I am trying to do the digital tutor tutorial and cant seems to find where i go wrong

    Assuming you have you model in zbrush with its UVs and are in edit mode, first import the texture in the texture palette (there's a button there to flip it vertically in case you need to). This will load the texture into zbrush.

    To apply it to the model/tool, under the Tools palette there is a Texture Map subpalette. Just click the blank texture box and then select the texture you imported.
