hey all,

im trying to make a base head mesh in 3ds max and im setting up 2 planes to put ref pics on but i cant remember how to make the picture visible in the viewport, at the moment the img only shows up when i do a render

i know its probably something really simple lol but its been ages since iv done one

Select your material in the material editor and click on Show Material in Viewport:

new it was something simple lol, i probably would have worked that out if it wasnt for the material editor layout autodesk 2011

Is the Node based editor in 2011 too? I like Node based editors but in this case it doesnīt really fit.Itīs too slow.
I switched back to old style in 2012 for that reason.

yeah i preffer the old style much simpler imo
