AWESOME. It may be a base mesh at the moment, but there is soooo much character in him already. I am super excited to see more.

Thanks chaps
Haven't had a great deal of time to work on this and I was pretty lazy over the weekend. Got the rest of the base stuff done and now into zbrush ready to go. Did a bit with the face and just a quick paint-over to get the mood.
Super early

Will still change around some proportions, and make the mouth/teeth larger and pushed forward, among other things. Don't really wanna bring in the shoulders more else it looks kind of weird.
The neck also appears much longer from the side, so i'll probably make the head a bit narrower.
@ murphy7
Yeah for the most part it's best to avoid them anywhere or hide them in less important areas. In the mesh I made it was just so I could manage it easier. It all gets cleaned up beforehand (speaking of which, the glove base needs to be updated)
As for the time spent It depends on complexity, this for instance isn't that hard (I'm just slightly lazy) and most of the subtools are just pulled from the shape of the body... (gloves, shirt, overalls etc)
Wouldn't worry about time spent tbh.

Should be able to get some actual work done to it tomorrow.

Hot damn, you could texture what you have now and STILL come out smelling like rose. This can only get better.

Very interesting style going on, and I like it. I would be mind blown what you would have in store for Wario and Waluigi for creepiness if you consider it.

if the back of the vacuum is attached to his suspenders, wouldnt they be pulled stiff in the front instead of having as much slack as they do?

Your attention to detail and ability to retain your style across all of your art is phenomenal.

Is the t-shirt under the overalls connected to something or did you delete the poly's there?
I think you've mentioned how you've done it already but how did you do the clothes? Did you just take polygons inside max and duplicated them or did you just select and duplicate parts of the mesh inside zbrush with a mask? How do you make sure the meshflow stays relatively tame for sculpting in this case? Is there going to be holes in your mesh on the t-shirt? Hair or whatever?
I know I'm asking a ton of questions but I wanted to say I really appreceate your work, congratulations on the Brawl character results.

Good point. That strap at the back looks a bit awkward anyway(hell the whole thing does, heh) so I'm probably going to get rid of it and have one over the shoulder or something.

YOU ARE KILLING ME..... Great progress, I love how the fabric has a nice heavy look to it. If I had 1/20,000,000th of you skills I could die happy.
