I'm using spotlight to load up ref images. When I have a ref image loaded I can't paint anything. Its as if my z and rgb intensities are set to 0.

Any idea what's going on?

Hit z to enter paint mode? Or are you trying to paint on spotlight itself?

i'm just trying to edit the mesh with the standard brushes, which do nothing when I have references up, I don't want to be doing any projection painting. I did toggle the paint mode on and off in the lightbox radial dial but didn't didn't resolve the issue.

Thanks for the quick response btw, your a zbrush master

Hmm, is the spotlight over the model like a sculpting stencil, or are you keeping it off to the side just to have the reference images visible? If the latter, turn off brush:samples:spotlight projection
