Got a phone call yesterday from the agency after waiting nearly a month since the interview: the firm has lost the contract due to incompatible laws between the U.S. contractors and the U.K. sub-contractors, the details of which were never disclosed.

Back to the drawingboard again, literally.

thanks Japhir. I think that's it as my due to be employers have lost this contract, the agency kept my info but work is really hard to come by these days, crappy economy and all.

I've been thinking, if just a few people can make millions from cartoons why can't an online team do the same and produce something like Family Guy but in 3d?

You should put a small team together and make some short movies. It couldn't hurt for a bit of fun and worst case scenario you just get another thing to stick in your portfolio.
