created Controversial Heart Attack Grill opens to protest in Dallas,tx
on 05-13-2011 08:16 PM
The medically themed restaurant allows those who weigh
350 pounds or more to eat for free, one burger which can total up to 8,000 calories,
Wow Dallas seems to be getting all these new burger places,
This reminds me of the some theme places to eat in Japan i have seen before, minus such high calorie burgers,

ugh. people who eat this shit just to brag because its so bad for you disgust me.
but do-gooders whos wet dream it is to enforce their morals unto every citizen disgust me even more.
so you lost 80 pounds by eating healthy, why the fuck do you find it necessary to try to force other adults to eat just like you?

"Heart Attack Grill spokesperson Blair River recently died of pneumonia.
He weighed in at 575 pounds and was 29-years-old when he died.
Dr. Jon told News 8 today that Big Ernie, the restaurant's first spokesperson is also obese. He is reportedly back on the job after he had been away after falling into a coma."

8000 calories? Shit, you eat one of those and you're likely to find your self almost 2lbs heavier...

That's just not cool
Health issues aside. If they've got that much food to give away for free, why not give it to those who actually need it?

The Lunchbox Laboratory is a similar place here in Seattle. Apparently the owner is obese and had a triple bypass or whatever, before he opened it.
I really don't get it. As good as some burgers are, I like to make my own at home. I actually prefer some of the leaner, game-ish meats for a burger like Elk and Bison (which no chain will ever make). No burger is worth 1000 calories, that's just insanity!

The free eating thing, does it matter how you weight over 350lbs? Say if I was to turn up in full-body chainmail, would that count?

whoa don't get crazy on me bro
(so true a lot of food goes to waste that could be better used to feed the needy whether it be in your home country or another)

RE Heart Attack Grill, I don't think they showed enough of that delicious food in the clip, looks awesome! I'd definitely try it.

The food doesn't look very appetising, and the medical theme would freak me out. I guess it is just about being able to injest the most calories as possible in one sitting.
Nothing better than making your own burger at home I guess, with lots of mustard and gerkins.

Au contraire, mon frere! Ted's Montana Grill is all about the bison - you can get buffalo burgers, steaks and even meatloaf there! God bless America

Seriously.
@Josh S. - There are quite a few grills all over the country that grill game burgers BTW. There is one I heard of that has seasonal lion and kangaroo meat. I've eaten whale (JPN) (almost like a hockey puck if overcooked, so you gotta get it medium or medium well), horse (South TN), possum(TX), bear(TX & CO) and snake burgers(SoCal).

I watched some of the videos on the website and this is so bizarre, even for the United States. I know various places have their one menu item that has enough fat and calories packed into it to kill a child, but this whole place is like that, it's like a real-life satirical franchise.
Nevertheless, I'd probably go there just for the experience. Like most people, I like to indulge from time to time, but I'm also kind of turned off from eating if I'm surrounded by obese people chomping away, so that could be problem.
But, I'd bet it goes out of business when one of the customers actually goes into cardiac arrest while eating there. Makes me wonder if they have an onsite doctor.
