If you get a sec today, please take a look at my my newly finished animation "50A, Roland Road", along with my new company website Rivermill Studios. Thanks:

http://www.rivermillstudios.com/video_roland.html

It was created in Maya and rendered in VRay, with post production and editing done in Adobe After Effects and Premiere respectively.

The animated short explores architectural visualisation, but in a less traditional sense; instead of aspirational and expensive, the location is generic and functional. Through lighting, composition and music, the attempt is to find beauty in the mundane.

I've uploaded an additional video demonstrating the breakdown of some of the shots on my own site at:

Great work on the shaders and athmosphere.
Some critique if I may : the sofa really looks to blocky and there is no real material definition (a cloth material bumpmap would help and perhaps a more interesting color) same for the pillows: too stiff. The folds don't feel real.
I suggest using reference and why not a ncloth sim on the pillows if your are having trouble getting the right feel in zbrush.
Three other small things: the plant could use more geometry if you are going to do a closeup, the power sockets are too reflective, and the glass from the water boiler has no thickness (you dont get all the nice caustic/refraction effects and therefore it looks cg)

That's all for me, I hope you don't mind me being honest, you have done a great job.

I bow my hat to you sir because you truly are a vray master.
