I just did a huge lowpoly level. To my surprice i see that Maya has created double faces all over the place ! I did a merge on all the verts in the scene wich took down the amount of vertecies to half, but somehow the faces remains.

I have tried to mark all the faces and delete but then Maya deletes all faces.
I have tried to select one face and then use the "grow selection with < + shift" still deletes all the faces. cleanup doesn't work either...

Can someone help me ? , is there a script that can fix this ?

You created double threads all over Technical Talk.

That will be all.

(sorry, hope someone comes along with something more useful)

mesh - cleanup... - then select matching polys and uncheck everything except "Lamina faces (Faces sharing all edges)" Hit cleanup, now maya will select 1 face for each double face, then you can press delete.

You could also let it cleanup straight away but I always prefer to check what it had selected before I actually delete the stuff.

Hope it works =)
