Changed my idea up a bit. Decided to make Vega fit into the Gears of War universe.

i like what you have there.....giving off a bit of a predator vibe with the hair...I guess that I just connect facemasks and dreads to alien hunters....odd that. Anyway great stuff, as I was scrolling down the thread I was worried that an essentially skinny feminine character might not work in gears fashion, but the concept has a lot of promise. Get to it

Ah crap I forgot all about predators! haha Maybe I'll go with cornrows instead. I'm thinking about beefing him up more, but I'll see how it goes once I start blocking everything in.

i like him but he doesn't feel quite roided out enough to be gears style. i can't tell whether its the pose, the width of his chest or a lil' bit of both though . . . but anyways look forward to seeing where this goes!

if you can make out individual anatomy parts, it isnt gears of war. its gotta just be a tube, with big sausage arms stuffed with cantaloupes.

Still working on blockout. I'm pretty amazed at how far you guys have gotten so quickly. I still have a long way to go. Not sure what to do with the mask.

I'm going to be a pain in the arse and say that I prefered skinny vega, ok he was less gears in that version but the new one is reading more as a gears character with aspects of vega, rather than vega with aspects of gears....I think that vega was always on the more feminine side of fighters so perhaps taking inspiration from the cog ladies? Maybe make him a lighter armoured scout class of cog? that could suit his weapons a little more - sort of apache - tracker - cog - vega - scout?
sorry I'm rambling, what you have is not bad....I just really liked what you had before

Have to agree with Seth. Skinny GoW as you had going in the initial concept was looking pretty killer. At the moment so beefed up, he does read more just like any other Gears character, with claws. Rather than Vega in the Gears of War universe.

Not a pain at all guys. The more feedback the better.
Yeah I got really caught up in trying to make him Gears that I think I overdid it. Need to find a good balance. Maybe going back to the concept with this kind of frame would be better.

Here he is after a lot of reworking. Not sure if I'm fast enough to finish in time but hopefully I'll at least have a decent looking hipoly at the end of the month.

Concept looks promising, might be a good idea to broaden his shoulders to fit the gears style. Looks like he needs a bigger butt right now too. Will watch this one.

I'm liking this one more than the initial one. I think you should give him scraggy hairand make his snake tattoo look more evil than his original one does, I would also sugest making his claw curve inwards more.
