Thanks dudes!
I think I love 3dcoat man, first time using it, its genius!! Though ive discovered some issues - dont use shelled meshes otherwise using the stroke method to lay down blocks of polygons for arms, legs etc will get all confused and either wont draw anything or draw a flat square - about as handy as tits on a bull.
Single sided meshes work just dandy!
Couple hours so far, going to stitch together all the tidbits in max and unwrap!

Speaking of tits! I have a technical question: I noticed you originally modeled the breasts with radial geometry, but now you've re-topo'd them using a grid layout. What was the reasoning behind this? Does either style deform better then the other? (Sorry, if this is an extremely noobish question, hehe.)
Really amazing work anyway. I'm especially in awe of the face!

Wex: Good question man!! Totally not a n00b question at all! My original base mesh did have the radial thing going on - This is the first time I've ever done a breast section like this - purely for testing exactly what youre thinking. Im curious to see if i can get just as good of a result like this than i would using the radial versions ( this is much lower poly ) I might even try to get some boob wiggle going on in the rig when I get there!

Man your entry is so good, but after seeing the mech stuff you posted I was REALLY looking forward to what you'd do with feet. I was expecting like these awesome mech shoes or something that really stood out in the silhouette.
Now I know it's waaaay too late in the contest to really discuss any conceptualization, but I think it would be wrong not to be devils advocate in some way and go aside from making her legs thick there wasn't really much done with the legs. The face is great, the body is great, but with the reference you posted I really was hoping something epic would be on those feet.
Anyways, your modeling skills are fantastic and far greater than anything I can achieve, and I didn't mean to come off as a jerk. You have a great entry and I've barely gotten mine into 3d so I know how time restraints come off. I wish you well and can't wait to see the fully textured version!

3d coat is amazing when it comes to retopping especially the snapping to vertices is very good compared to other programs.
anyway nice update, can't wait to see how the bake turns out

Thanks guys!
Azuryon: Totally agree with you man . Just ran out of time more or less. Design is my biggest weak point I think, and I'm trying to work on it as much as I can. In the end i could post up all the revisions and rough shapes, concepts and paintovers i did for her but it would be the biggest pile of crap of all time haha. Ultimately I overlooked the lower half of her design and im pretty dissapointed but hey, its done now - can only try to improove next time Thanks for your thoughts though man, appreciate it!
A bit over budget and the distribution is a bit whack ill clean it up some more. 12,300 Tris atm. Oven mits on.

Damn, love your stuff man. She's a real beauty. In fact you make the kind pictures I can't watch around my girlfriend 'cause she'll probably bust my balls.
My only advice is that in order to accentuate the hips you could probably make the shin part thinner towards the ankle as well as the ankle itself, 'cause right now I honestly find them strangely chubby. On the back view you can see that the Gastrocnemius muscle(yeah I had to wikipedia it ) is as wide as the hip.
Anyway, good luck with her, man!

Very clean work. Looks great! The horizontal bar on her back baked out just a little wobbly, might be something you can adjust in the NM in photoshop
