free to play is a pretty abused term these days though, often it becomes a glorified demo.

Isn't that basically The Secret World? I thought that one will be Lovecraftian.

The secret world looks cool too, but this one is more interesting to me with the perma-death aspect.

You spend 2 years on your character and journey to find a noob who wants to duel you.
The duel starts
You quickly find out he's the top player of the game as he puts on his legendary armor.
You can't quit because you think you can take him, you in vision the glory.
What do?

nah, just be super paranoid with the 2 year old character. Better never even log in and start a new character instead. Pretend the character is dead.....oh wait. nevermind about perma death then...

...so every users first experience of this game is getting off the boat, getting done-in by someone and having their stuff nicked? Sounds like a winner ;)

They'll just make you pay money to have your character brought back to life then? Well I guess that's no different to most f2p MMOs, if you want to be able to play properly then dish out £20 a week.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who got distracted by his eye. I did watch the whole video though.
Personally I don't like the idea of perma death.

I think people are thinking too much inside the box with this one, Who are to say this game has massive amount of grinding or even any character progression?
