@Razorb, great sketches. Really digging number 3+4!
@Scooby, the narrower jaw version looks like megan fox?

Made a bit more progress on the front, added the rest of the lights and wipers. Need to collapse the symmetry on the grill thing and remove the left hand hole as its only meant to have one.
Now to work on the incredibly complicated underside
Oh and if anyone has any pointers for rendering progress images that would be grand, i'm useless at renders.

razorb: Those are all amazing man, do you have a larger res pic of the last one? would love it as a wallpaper :P

duncan: Hotness, can't wait to see how this develops.

ScoobyDoofus: Always hard for me to tell who it is without the hair but, Angelina Blanchett? :P Looks incredible so far anyway.

That is really nice. I was reminded of Kadish Tolesa for Uru, which I miss:

Still working on this, with the holidays over I finally have some time to continue this guy.
Decided on a new outfit (again), did some hard surface modelling, and am kinda figuring out how I want to do the hoodie/vest, base shouldn't prove much of a problem, the hood on the other hand might.

A cookie for the person to guess the brand of the headphones, might be easier with the paintover I posted, showing where I want to take this.

and the paintover :

Not the best sketch, but pressure sensitivity not working in CS5 for some reason

Thanks folks!

Alright, well I was going for Olivia Wilde with the revised face and Angelina Jolie was the very loose ref/inspiration for the first. Thanks Swizzle for the mashup. I'll take that into consideration as I get down to decision/retopo/hair stage.

Finally sat down to test the voxel sculpting of 3D Coat. Pretty interesting concept, but it got pretty slow for me.

TheDarkKnight: I dont know if you tweaked the face more since I last saw this but getting more of the eminem vibe now man....looking good. No idea on the headphones though

prototyp3: love the style, reminds me of a French comic i used to look at the pictures of (cant speak or read French) when I lived in Paris

corv: so cool....there is always a place in my heart for supersoldiers! He needs ww1 trench armour for that weird world war chic though.

Insulaner: clean looking model man, could the crank do with being a bit bigger?

still working on getting the comicon character finished, organic bits baked, still need to tidy up the maps a bit and then onto the claw and hardsurface tomorrow.

Marmoset test render FTW.

finally getting some time to start baking this pos out. may need to make some cage adjustments on the face of the trigger guard and grip, at least for folio reasons... but you would never see it in game... also debating on whether it is worth creating geo for the rubber grip piece on the stock... would eat up a killer amount of geo though and again, would barely be seen in game if covered up by a player hand... sitting a little over 3k

My first, modular build.
Still maps and details to go, but the base is pretty much done. Thanx

Insulaner: maybe winter tires for the weather lately??

seth.: great model!! His pants thing makes me feel bad, though xD

Firebert: maybe add a hint of the rubber grip at points in the silhouette. It's mostly at the back, under the curve that it shows.

Ikuru: very cute house I guess modular isn't very polygon efficient? hehe

figure I can alpha a visor into the helmet to show a bit of face through. Pretty happy with the polygon level, so once I add enough to close all the gaps it should still be under 1k. Haven't tried something segmented before, so it's a new challenge

Hey Bugo! Looking cool. I think you could maybe do to use bigger harder brushes, if you're trying to match that Blizzard style. I like the armor bits tho, those look good.

Seth: Those bakes came out pretty well I'd say, although it looks like he could maybe use a little more tri density in his buttocks area as it seems pretty coarse currently and won't animate/rig as nicely as you may want.

Corv: I expect big things from you, particularly as regards textures. The model looks neat and fun, but the texture, so far, is a bit early so here's hoping it shapes up as nicely as your other work.

Oh yeah, I forgot I was gonna post this too.
Zbrush fucked me and lost about an hours worth of extra work on this guy, so I'll just post this and keep truckin till he's done.
Some of you may remember I posted an earlier wip of this guy awhile back.

UPDATED! Now with more old.

Hi, new guy, I'll save the long introduction for my first thread.

So, I put this thing together in sculptris new years eve for the first post.

Still stuck on how I want to paint the blasted thing. I'd love some suggestions.
More work in other thread later, but soon.
