I am a lightly experienced 3D artist looking for a cool project to work on. This can be either paid or unpaid just looking for more experience and something to spend time on. A year of 3d art doesn't tell us much. My cousin can draw almost perfect scaled drawings... if he had a year of 3d artwork and a tablet he'd rock it. As for other people... well... I know I'm no artist... I spent a year learning to sing so I didn't sound tone def, and once I get my tablet back a year learning to draw might not be a bad idea.

Different people progress at different rates. As for what you should do... what do you think you can do best? Post your best work here and see what people offer you/recommend to you.

Base models... make base models... humanoid, super deformed, chibi, gnomes, elves, robots, anything that could be used as an articulated figure. And most importantly, make things that help you grow as an artist. Maybe the best question wouldn't be 'what can I do'... maybe the best question is "This is what I can do... what should I attempt next?"
