I am getting this weird black blotchy line on the boarders of the mesh that don't have geometry behind it when I add a light. Id like to know how to turn that off so i don't have this any more.Any help would be appreciated.

Did you change the SSAO settings yourself? because this really does not look like the default SSAO..

everything is set to default under my world properties. Under World info just turning off allow ambient occlusion and it takes the dark shadow off. It is a weird effect thats for sure

Well when its done right, ambient occlusion, or SSAO (screen space ambient occlusion) can look great.
