Hey there,

I am new here on polycount. SO I guess I better introduce me a little.
I am from Germany and just recently finished my University. I studied Virtual Art. What also included 3D (of course).
I started working one month ago as an Junior Animator and 2D/3D but even after work I can not stop my mind from being creative.

So this is my first project I would like to show here. She is a red panda/fire fox lady. So far I just made this picture of her and a modeling sheet.

Comments and critiques are very welcome.

I noticed a lotof poeple don't now this animal species.
SO a little help

That's a red panda. In German also called cat-bear (Katzenbär)

Can't really critique much this early on tbh but it's stylish!
Got any plans for how to do the model? Lowpoly? Hipoly? You going to use planes for fur? or rely on shapes and hand painted textures? What software will you be using to do the model?

Anyway, reminds me a bit of the Sly-Cooper artstyle, but softer, also show us your model sheet :0

Thank you.
I will model it in 3ds max and try to go lowpoly. It might get more polys in the face cause I want to animate her and try facial animation.
I will use planes for some fur but most of it will be painted (short fur) in the texture it self.
It's a bit inspired by the style of Kung Fuu Panda as well.

So here is the modelsheet
Rough...
She is supposed to be around 5 head tall. More child size like to make her look cute.

The front view silhouette's a little boring right now. Other than that I like where it's going. Look forward to more.

What about a little bit more definition in her hip/waist proportion? Thinner waist, rounder hip, should make her look more feminine.
Looks kinda strange how the legs are attached to the torso. Oh, and what is that thing in her crotch in the side view?

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Very helpfull!

I made it new. I will not make more details in the face. I just will model it from imagination and the picture I did.

And hopefully will start modeling today.
Cheers!

So finally an update

First picture is a bit older. Did some test animations to see where I should ad more polygons. So the first picture is a bit buggy at the arms and eyes.

Second one is edited after that test and I also added the "deko"-objects.

Critiques are VERY VERY welcome.
