Is there a way to export a material and import it for use on another machine? Right clicking in the content view on the material and exporting seems to work but then re-importing fails, I've tried the various file types .T3D etc

I'm assuming your talking about UDK? You can save a package out with your material in it, then load that package on another machine. It should work fine. Than you can move the material to whatever package you want to use.

Thanks kdm, Yeah I was talking about UDK (this is the UDK sub-forum right?). I was hoping to just get the material rather than have to save the package out, but that will work for now!

Well I think, but am not sure, that you can copy paste the material nodes stuff into text and then paste back in the other PC material window. But that's a lot of hassle when you can save the package and copy it.

Exporting from the editor is only really useful for Static Meshes, and Textures. For materials, just follow these dude's advise: save the package and take it to the other machine.
