Of course roadkill can't be any easier to use, but for some reason all the sudden when I import from it my Y/Z is flipped and the model is something like 92% or so scaled too small :/

I thought I would work around this just by saving the UVs and applying them to my model I exported from in max, but no go - nothing changes when I load the UVW file :/

Any tip to make this not shrink my models?

Freeze all transforms prior to export, and export with Local coordinates?
