Hey all,

This is my first time posting a WIP and I am looking forward to your critiques. The idea behinds this model is taken from an image of an old hospital room where the paint on the walls is falling apart and the beds are in a terrible state (rusty and busted up).

I guess I am trying to achieve this horror looking room that a serial killer will use to torture his captors. In any case this is what I got so far!

Tekmatic, do you have in mind like an asset list of what else is going into the scene? IMO, t's a little early asking for feedbacks with one untextured bed.

Can we also see that elusive image you're getting ideas from?

Hey pliang, thanks for the comments. Yes I did realize I missed adding the reference image...thanks for the pointer. Will add it tonight (don't have it with me atm).

I am planning to add more debris (not a lot) that will give the room the sense of it being abandoned as well as parts of a similar bed all broken up that will be piled on top of the current one.

Here is the reference image that this model will be based on. Will post some more WIP images soon.

Had some free time this weekend and added some more items such as a mattress, cardboard box, some old dismantled beds and a wall plug! Trying to get as close as possible to the reference.

Will update more as soon as more work is done!

Looks off to a good start Tekmatic. It would be better to have the entire space blocked out first, lit and then populate it with all the other objects/detailing that will be going in.

Ok some more work was done and experimented with some lighting. All objects were smoothed and shadows enabled. I am in the process of UVing and texturing soon.

It's kind of odd with the lighting considering that it's black outside, I'd play with the light radius and soften the shadows a wee bit.
