My favorite part of that conference was solid snake cutting watermelons.

New xbox is pretty nice though. I need one with all the new fancy gizmos in it. I have the first edition, first draft-one. I imagine it has gears and is run on steam.

Built in wifi. Big hd + hdmi. Yes please.

The Good: MGS Rising, Crytek game (no gameplay, no info)

The Bad: The other 2 hours of useless shit. Omg that was fuckin awful. They announced no new games really. Gears 3, Halo Reach? Cool, but I already knew about them. That was disappointing.

I hope so, and I am usually a 360 fanboi. But they need their asses kicked into shape. Hopefully new ps3 slim or something or a massive price cut :P

Well, they're gonna push the Move really heavily. But they seem to be really focusing in on hardcore games using it unlike microsoft which is focusing on the casual market, which gives me hope for a kickass shooter.

yeah the kinect stuff is blatantly for the casual market, i think only little kids will enjoy it. unless eventually they make a decent hardcore game out of it somehow, but highly unlikely

Well I found it interesting and liked most of it. Microsoft seems to have gotten marketing done proper, the games shown with kinect and the demonstrations were (although horribly cheesy acting wise) informative enough to make me interested in the entire thing. Reach, Gears, Rising, Fable etc looked pretty damn cool. Especially Gears and Halo looked fun. All the extra stuff for xbox live such as ESPN isn't of much use to me but it's cool to see Microsoft bringing so much to their platform.

Overall I was very impressed, and ending it with the new and hot looking xbox did it for me. It's specs and price means I'll get an xbox again I don't regret selling my ps3 now.

Next press conference is EA for me, then possibly Sony, don't know if I'll bother with Nintendo, seeing how Sony and Microsoft have already trumped them in everything now.

overall a good start for this years E3.
