It's driving me crazy. I have this working at hom in PS2, but I didn't make the Action, it was given to me. I'm not sure if something different was done to it.

So, I've created a save as action in CS3 and I can't seem to get the action to save over the previous tga. It always saves a *_copy.tga and I don't want that. I want a hotkey to run the script and have my PSD saved out in one click. What is it, do you suspect, I'm doing wrong here? ...

Thanks for any help

If your PSD and TGA are the same name, you're going to have that problem. I don't know any way to make it overwrite it. I usually just name my PSD with a "_hi" suffix.

is a link to a small collection of PS action scripts with a save TGA that will actually save over the old one. The only draw back is that it will open the tga in PS each time you save, but its a small price to pay imo
