Check it out. I like the principals behind this. Hopefully it doesn't get out of control :P and too big for itself and become what it tried to go against.

I think this may fail.....espeacialy if to many people know about this, you shoulda kept it secret and used it yourself, i think you've just shortened its life span so don't share this anyone else....
normaly I'm all for sharing but they may have limited resources, and there is so much talent out there.

I'm pretty damn sure that if it's on the internet, an ass load of people are going to see it anyways.
You're gonna carry that weight.

[UPDATE: We are not currently accepting game submissions. A public process for applying for funding will soon be made available. Also, we're getting a lot more email traffic than we expected and will not be able to respond to everyone, please be patient with us!]
Sounds like they can handle themselves. Don't be so ego man ;D

Wow, this is awesome! Like seriously awesome. It's the way I think the industry needs to move, developers supporting developers, allowing us to hopefully lessen our dependence on large, souless publishers.

Hmmmm... I wonder if these guys are going to be at GDC? Perhaps I could pitch some ideas their way, see if I could get my hands on some start-up capital.

They are at GDC, and having spoken to them, don't seem ready to do anything with the "public" yet. So, guess we'll all have to wait a bit.
