Good day and greetings to all!

As is apparent, I'm a new kid to the forums and have been modelling on/off for about 9 years. Anyway, long story short, I've had Max 9 installed for a while, but the last time I used it I had a dual monitor setup. The 2nd monitor went the way of Jeebuz a while ago and popped its clogs for any number of my sins, and now I can't access my materials editor (think I left it on the other monitor.... as such).

I can't find any other threads with such problems, and it's too vague for google to handle. I don't want to resort to reinstalling if there's some simple way of reseting the swine, so... any assistance would be apprecited!

Cheers gadgies!

Thread over on CGTalk describes a few methods how to fix it:
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=237409

First one is to edit 3dsmax.ini and change the position values of the [MaterialEditor] section to 0, 0 so that it starts in the top left.

Then there's the other method of hitting hotkeys to toggle the "window move mode" with the Material Editor highlighted, then it'll snap to your mouse.

Ya the easiest way for sure is just making sure it's active then use ALT + Space, and use arrow keys and enter to move that sucker back into place.
