When I first saw it I thought its silhouette was kinda boring at lower part from side views but if its a turret and there will be some other bigger form underneath it then I think its perfectly fine so far. Its your way of moving forward by creating end quality for each part and then moving to the next.. What if you want to change something in the end or just want to move certain forms back and forth.. If these forms are not separate modular pieces and is a single geometry then what will be your technique to adjust certain elements later on? because moving things at vertex level will cause too much work and clean up. Design is looking cool..
thanx for the crits....i am glad you like the design.
i understand what you are trying to say & i've faced this situation where i needed to change things...this happened mostly with the two main guns...i must have modeled a lot many shapes before finalising on what you see here...most of the times i'd sketch in photoshop, model it, but it wouldn't look good in 3d...so i started over...it was all mostly trial & error..i am not posting those shapes but only the final ones that i think fits the overall design...right now what you see is final for the time being & i am not going to change them, unless someone else has better suggestions...i am still working on the rest of the body to make it look like a large battle tank, when i'll be satisfied with the design, i'll post my updates.
