I have a annoying rigging problem to do with stretchy spline IK but this possibly affects other stuff..

Essentially ive made a mechanical arm rigged up nicely and theres a wire/cable that leads from the last piece to the 1st, on this ive added a spline ik that stretches so the wire doesnt bunch up...

Now the problem is when i turn the entire rig 180` the cable has a wierd twisting problem going on..

Im just wondering why this happens, even if i have the spline ik twist channel at 0 it happens.
A heads up on how to resolve this and other issues like it would be awesome and help in the studio, ta ;D
(ps ive posted on cgtalk but im being ignored and this is quite important ;D)
