So.......

I hate Max 2010's main toolbar icons. Out of habit I generally know what all the icons are but it slows me down a lot having to second guess. Is there any way to customize the main toolbar so that the artwork isn't the grayscale style of 2010 and keeps the icon style of 2009?

Anyone else in the hate pool on this one?

you can load a UI that looks about 90% like 2009.

Customize > customize user interface > toolbars > load > 3dsmax2009.cui

I have turned on the AME Dark Custom UI scheme since the black background of the UI is better on my eyes but all the icons are ugly and grey. Its very hard to tell the diff. Is there anyway to get the toolbar to use the default colored icons while using that UI scheme?

loading any of the cui's from the toolbar menu dosnt changes them

I know, the 2010 UI is retarded. But we switched to it at work, and we tried loading up 2009's UI, and it fucked it up and then we weren't able to access the new tools and whatnot.

It's best just to leave it alone and deal with it, unless someone found a good fix.
