Hi Everybody,

Lots of great work here! So, this is the start of my model, I've been lazy so I didn't post anything earlier. I'm modeling a cyborg gorilla (concept to come), and this is his base head. He will have plating and mechanical bits attached to his head. This isn't his final sculpt, I hope to have that done after I get the mechanical parts put in. Hope you guys like him!

-Ashley.

fantastic sculpting! Do you have any of the cyborg parts worked out or are you going to freeball it as you go? Be careful with this one -- there's a popular spawn character named "cygor" (my room mate loves that guy) who is a hard mix between a gorilla and machine. If you add something to make it ultra unique it's gonna rock out.

It's looking so great Ashley! I can't wait to see what you will come up with this guy. I wanted to start a gorilla character myself, so I'll definitely check this thread for inspiration. Keep it up!

Ahhhh, there you are! Glad to see your entry Ashley, and the sculpt is already looking great in it's early state. Curious to see your concept sketch, as I know it can get dangerous going into 3d without one, but I am sure you would be fine. Can't wait to see the final!

Lot of impact with the layout and structure you chose.
The gorilla sculpt is great too. Can't wait to see more.

dude.. thats freakin tight! I look forward to seeing textures on this bad boy. You start on the low rez yet? and is his left arm larger? or is it how you have your lens set?

They just extended the competition, so that should help you make the deadline.

Might I suggest increasing the difference in size between the two arms? Right now it is relatively subtle. More exaggeration could be very cool.

Nice work so far. Looking great!
