wow, im a little late to start on this. Can't wait to get into this! there are some great concepts already! i have 2 ideas, either a demon lord thing that i've got going that's a big crab shell shape on top. it doesn't have arms, but it opens it's shoulders and tentacles come out? i don't know for sure, im really liking the idea that it likes to collect bodies maybe? im not sure.
my other idea is that i go in the comedic direction. I was thinking of some elder squirrel wizard/shaman/mage type character that is able to rise acorn soldiers from the ground. Now would that be out of the bounds of the invoker? because i see they took out the summoner
Invoker
This character type harvests powerful magic to destroy and/or manipulate his surroundings or enemies.
so if he turns acorns in the area into soldiers, is that pushing it for the invoker?
here's some doodles of the demon lord that i had in mind

so i love alchemy, been using it for awhile, then i look around and it seems everyone and their grandmother is using it!
so here's a few ideas from my alchemy doodles, playing around with a few things, trying not to limit my options. D is my original for the idea i posted first.

I think you should still be able to do the summoner if you wanted to.
As for the demon lord, I'm not a big fan of the door opening and tentacles coming out. It's a bit cheezy. have you considered mixing D and E? Maybe the top shell can open and close, open is E. Then in the gaps, you can have all sorts of death and destruction rain out. As for design, maybe put a freaky face on the front and line the rest with teeth and skulls?

Hey buddy,
Your thumbnails look great but you just did something like d and e, try something different. J and E are my favorites. More!

kamui - thanks for the crit, ill play with the shapes a little more. the shell opening up to tentacles is a bit cheesy? damn lol
ender -good to see u on here! switching over i see huh? ill give ya more soon, and im sorry, i like the crustacean shape... i can't get away from it! finals are kicking my ass this quarter..
machura - or a part of maybe? im gonna start combining these to see what kind of shapes i can get
so i keep looking at J and im getting more and more interested in it, going to do a paint over today and see what i can come up with. i could use a diversion from my homework update coming soon.

so here's an update, did some doodles in class today ha. i've been playing with some combos of the different drawings, i really liked the J in the alchemy batch, and took it a little further in 7. 1-3 i opted for more of a elephant/brontosaurus kind of leg, give it a more sturdy base. i really like the movable throne type thing maybe? more doodles in the very near future.
the right side is the starting of the squirrel wizard/mage invoker guy. thought the balance between a peaceful, old looking squirrel and terrifying little acorns
crits are VERY welcome, tell me what you think!

update, combo'd alchemy pics, i really like how some of these turned out
d1 - has the form of a female in the middle, that movable throne comes to mind, might work well with machine type?
d2- giraffe neck kinda thing, im really liking the long legs of D, able to look over the battlefield
d5- body with no arms at the top, soome wings? and the long legs, looks good, im very biased on d ha.
let me know what you think!

I don't know if you can put something that big on here. maybe post a link to the original if people want to see the large version?

yea it might be too huge. Keep your images forum friendly! I don't think you really need to be going much over 1200pix wide if you're just showing updates and stuff. Dont worry, silhouettes will read even when really small.

cool designs man , i like the first idea of the giant demon lord , the body of it leads me to think of it as a massive harvester somewhat oblivious to others around it , collecting bodies and resources and then spewing out the collected energy out of the central kabuki face.
C1 and D5 also look like they would be awesome and a lot of fun flesh out!!

Favorites: B1, C2, D5.
If I was picking, I would go with D5, because its more my type of structure, but the elongated head on on B1 is very interesting.
You also have a few split heads looking snazzy like D2 and A3.
