Still playing around with ideas-- here is a cyborg. The robot has a human controlled gun.

Cool idea!
draw without greed

yeaha! Neat ideas but I think you have to keep working on it. The first one is great because its polished and well done. The second makes me laugh a little more then it instills fear.

wouldn't it be better to have a thread for 3d and 2d? since you have to do 2 very different characters.

I think I am just going to sketch for the first week or two-- then I may start trying to decide on what characters I want to do for what entry

Holy crap, I'm not even sure what to think about that last one, so I'm going to default to awesome!

Love the scale of the sphinx. I hope you decide to do something like that or take that one further.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I think I may do another pass on the Sphinx-- there are some things I think I could improve

sphinx bot is well painted, Im not sure I like the shapes though - the server on its head and the gun in the chest and the tiny legs. I would like to see big powerful legs and more aggresive shapes on the cool bits like the crown and guns.

Thanks for the critiques guys-- Yeah, I am going to have to think more about the Sphinx design. In the meantime something a bit more traditional for Dom War:

I was looking at the 2D winners last year and took a stab at trying to get the same style. Not sure I completely succeeded, but I am still pretty happy with the image. A Norm with Poseidon's Trident, which lets her control anything in the sea and breath underwater-- I think I may add a pet later.
This is also an iteration on the first concept in the thread.

You're rocking these concepts Ninjas. Sphinx is rad. It's the one of these sketches that I saw a glimpse of the final picture in my head..raining artiellery on hordes of demons with that expressionless face looming above them. War machine indeed ;)
