Hey, Chaos V49 here. My mate done another creature its pretty much done apart from the texture. As weird as this sounds.. its not normal mapped. Its all really high poly from zbrush into max. I'm trying to learn normal mapping but this is all I can do for now.. I can forget texturing for now when its as high poly as this and animation and alll that. Heh. I'm pretty proud of this. I wasn't planning to go as far as this. My mates concept was also done really quickly and I turned it into this so overall I'm pretty happy with it.

Not bad, looks more like an octopus tentacle than a worm. Been playing Dead Space by any chance?! I think it's a bit rough on the back of the large part, if you want it more wormy I suggest smoothing most of that roughness out and creating some segementation.

Yeah I guess its not really a worm (I gotta stop putting "Worm" in my thread titles for stuff like this. ) Its ment to be a rough , dirty and grimy worm that lives in the ground and all that. Infact i'll change the title.

I like it very "Argh! get away from me!!" only thing bothering me is the ground from which it protrudes from, but I'm sure it's work in progress

It doesn't look like a creature as much as it looks like one of a bigger creature's limbs. It's a giant tentacle. It looks nothing like a worm.

normal map : P I just loaded the high poly to max and done a normal map and came out epic. Thats my first real normal map. Is that sort of the standard?
