created LPC: Time 2 Die - islipaway + Claydough
on 12-01-2008 09:49 AM
During the opening trailer, I am guessing the crying zombie is a witch?
However, it gave me the idea for a survivor that really is a young girl locked in her bedroom ( safe room? ) crying for help.
Thought it would be interesting to make her a creepy goth/little sisterish type...
and easily mistaken for a zombie herself.
580 tris so far without the hand feet placeholders

thanks Rick. done. Really don't know what I was thinking?
probably lack of sleep cause I found a lot of bad geometry too..
after cleaning geometry with export and
further refinement I went down to 800 tris!
Celebrated by adding back 20 with more hair for areas that were really bugging me.
edge loop gremlins be gone:
hoping to spend 28 on a hand cannon and call geometry done at 448

Here's where the environment is at, supposed to be a loft conversion, think I might be a bit off with some of the scale so please pointers appreciated! Not really started safehousing it up yet, plenty of ideas just getting the normal layout out.

Gibson SG
fact: Gibson SG is the evilest of guitars cuz it has 2 horns.
can u fit 3 humbuckers in texture?
Maybee I can pose her power chording some zombie brain explosion frequencies ala' Mars Attacks?
I wonder if environment as weapon cheat iz allowed?
Scale is looking great! ( skateboard and guitar size sells the bed as being sized for a kid )
Candles should provide an interesting/eerie directional practical light/shadow source

great forms on the girl, claydough. And really nice deformations on her. The room was looking solid too, islipaway.
This is definitely a fun one, so I hope you guys finish it off

the only thing that's bugging me is the doors covering the windows, they seem incredibly small compared to the desk, skateboard, guitar, and the child-sized bed.

created calling it finished ( fer now )
on 01-24-2009 09:21 PM
is this late?
the lace frills were a quick hackjob.
had a lot of z fighting with the alphas.. ended up using a
different alpha method ( sorting ) for the lace than the alpha blended lower skirt.
( this required another material for the lower skirt. however
both materials use the same texture. )
809 tris
started a new personal project so I am calling this done.
I may tighten up some lace painting latter if I have some time.
diffuse

alpha channel

count poly

end
