Another morning speed sculpt to wake me up
Edit:
Seeing how much I could get done in an hour. Particularly difficult for myself as I've never sculpted a child's head before.

Finally acquired a tablet, pressure sensitivity blows my mind

Autocon: I grade everything in terms of how many Skittles I award to each game. Like uncharted 2 got 184 Skittles. I also award and factor in things like color and taste of the Skittles too making it a very robust and diverse grading system.
Vig: I'll close with, "If you made art half as well as you bitch, we would all be rich."

Quick study I did based on some concept I found, pretty happy with the front and 3/4 biew, hate the side view for some reason, happens to most of my sculpts but I don't know what's off.....

The profile view is definitely lacking in comparison to the other two. It appears to be off balance and almost tipping forward. Overall a nice sculpt though. Did a quick liquify..
Squared out the jaw
Pushed the ear to the center
Pulled the clavicle/chest area forward
Moved the shoulders/back area back
Set back some of the facial features, was a bit flat faced
The neck could use some tweaking, there's a harsh separation between the sternocleidomastoid and the front of the neck that seems odd

Thanks Lombos, really appreciate it.
Saw the errors in the back, clavicle/chest after I posted it.
Really need to work on it not looking so flat, seems to be the main issue.
And will take the rest of your crits in to advice on the next one, thanks again!
edit: wasn't planning on working on it anymore, but couldn't resist.
Followed your advice, and I do think it looks better, thanks again
Is there like a rule of thumb for how far the eyes should be pushed back? that seems to be one of the main issues in most of my sculpts

eye depth can vary quite a bit between people, especially compared to nose and jaw size... ultimately, the best thing to do is just study a bunch of photos
finally had a free hour to myself after god knows how long being busy with life... herped this derp out tonight... can't wait for that impossible day where I have time for another real personal art project

Thanks woog! My sketching workflow is super simple... just standard brush and masking for things like that. Pop it out with standard brush, then mask off the top or bottom layer and drag with the move tool fold the shapes over eachother.
