Just thought i'd have a go at this, kind of late
I didnt realise there were already 2 other white kings, I think I can easily change it to a black king or white/black knight.

heres the concept anyway, Im going for a kind of decorative steampunk look was also looking at a bit of patrick woodroffe when I drew it, its basicly a walking throne for the king so he can get around on chess board easily.
suggestions welcome. im more of an enviro guy so im in some unfamilier territory here, cheers

I love the steampunkish throne! Nice, looking forward to see how this will progress.

Just started to work on the legs and body, ive given the legs some 'chess peice' like characteristics and tried something different with the face.

Ive decided to change my character to a pawn too (hope thats ok ), that way I might actually get it done next week, also is it ok to use old meshes in the challenge?

Haha, I like the new design. Looks kind of creepy, reminds me a bit of System Shock 2. Just add more machinery to the machine and give the king a massive mechanic crown or something.

thanks Vylaroth, I added more machinery like you suggested
this is as far as ive gotten with it, I should be able to finish it when I get back from NZ in 2 weeks, but I guess that leaves meeting the deadline out of the picture , oh well its a fun little project anyway
