Commonly referred to as Agu Beasts, these horrible creatures were once human. They were driven by greed and lust for power to commit unspeakable acts. Now they are cursed to roam the night forever searching to quench the insatiable hunger of their empty souls. I created these original monsters as a replacement for the standard orc in one of my fantasy campaigns. They ate most of the orcs already.

I painted this piece by hand directly into Photoshop CS2 with a Intuis 3 tablet using only one layer and one brush. Your comments and critiques are welcome.

Thanks for looking,

David Ferguson

I read it as Abu Ghraib. Was expecting pictures of England.

hey dave. i've seen three of your posts on here. and if you don't mind me saying...they all lack something really important. every one seems to be missing some depth. there are areas on this one that just scream for highlights....such as wetness around the nose....some spec on the teeth....areas on the top of the head. even where the wrinkles are protruding the most can use another layer of a lighter color. things like that.

Thank you for the constructive critique Fritz. I have received some real helpful feedback in the short time I have been posting on this forum. I will make sure to ad this to the list of things to improve upon in my future postings.

This piece is ok, but ok just. You realy should heed fritz' advice. It's sound. This really just does not look like a finished piece and it sounds to me like you are treating it as such.

However, I see your avatar, and it looks as if its gotten a better treatment there than on the main image? do the same thing, and you will have a much lovelier piece. hehe.

I think if Mumia abu-Jamal turned into a werewolf he would look like this

I like it--I agree, though, that the values seem a little dulled
