New little ship I started the other day. Still playing around with detail on the diffuse and going to bump out some panels and what not with the normal map. A bit lost to what the texture on the cockpit is going to look like still.

My first vehicle/ship model I've done, usually just do scenes or small prop junk.

any crits would be great.

For some reason im not digging the color of the ship, it makes it look like material for a wall instead of a ship. If its that messed up maybe at paint being peeled off or something.
I would like to see some renders with different colors of the vehicle.
Looking for work.

agree with snake. The entire ship is old & rusty, but it's the same complaint I have with a lot of attempts at making things old and rusty. It's too uniform! Paint it, and then chip paint off of certain areas, add blast marks and other key interest spots. At the moment, when I look at it my eye doesn't know where to go or what's what. I actually thought the first picture was 3 different views renders of the same ship rendered into one image at first, rather than the cockpit & two engines.

I agree on the material... I was thinking it was wood initially :/ Overall it's pretty cool though. I'm sure people are going to want to see wires also.

thx for the ideas guys, I didn't really care for the bare metal either. Lots of its still plain without panels and more scratches and junk, but heres a few color schemes I was playing with.

also the seam down the middle dont really work. hardcore tiling there. UV map that strip separatly.

Also what others have said. The mainmaterial u got all over it is a bit too noisy and hard to read. tone down the noice and do what shep says. He pwns at making spaceships and other stuff that fly

maintenance panels... it needs maintenance panels!
access panels to all the different parts of the engine, guns, maybe even engine hoods that come completely off, for maintenance.
now that'd be ripe awesomeness.
some of these wouldn't be amiss either:
