as a cog in the great big green machine now, i expect you to do your share of cranking
let's make that "concepts soon" a "here are some thumbnails"--it only takes 15 minutes. no excuses! we're all artists here, so we all know that it'll be the end of february before we know it and we'll all be scrambling to get some shit together. so in anticipation of that, let's slowly but steadily work out our entries so we don't get caught making a mesh (or mess! wahaha) out of a concept we know needs more polish, eh? keep us updated, on your very clearly immanent concepts. Hey guys,
Comps really heating up.
Here's some work i been doin' for the war.
Alot of the concepting has been done in a notebook. (should get a scanner, )So i got some of the stuff laying around to give you all some insight into my concept.
I'm making a jetpack wearing gal with a flamethrower. The story goes that she scouts out enemies and rains fire on them from above, its business not personal.
So far I've modelled up a chest piece in silo, from some concepts i roughed out in mudbox. I'll probably model the armor in silo,( the subdivs and tools are great) face and fleshy bits in mudbox, and bring it into max for the final shabang. Doing some normal map test at the moment.
I'l try to be a more punctual with my posts.
Suggestions most welcome.

Hey pop, good stuff so far. I dig your armour designs.

I think there's a difference between your 2d thumbnails and mudbox sketches in that the hips seem a bit more bulked out in the 2d thumbnails. I think that looks better than the mudbox sketch's hips as it makes the design look a bit more feminine. I like that you seem to be going for a more bulky armour design over the more common slender female armour. But if I were doing it I'd be careful to make sure those more subtle hints of femininity are there. I could be way off or preaching to the choir but that's what I'm thinking.

I know it's a bit early to be critting minor stuff like that now, just something that stuck in my mind looking at the concept. Anyway, I like where it's going, keep it up dude!
