Just got this plugin from Digital Raster and it totally rocks. I'm a Silo fanboy, but I still need to use Maya for exporting, uving etc. This plugin adds a bunch of much needed stuff to Maya, like selection highlighting, a friendly soft select interface, the ability to move FACES along their normal easily, tweak mode (free or constrained) and some nice loop/ring select stuff, amongst others. I know a lot of this stuff is already available, but this plugin has it all, and done very well. Give it a try, and kudos to the guys that did it.
